DESCRIPTION

Behind the Glass Door (BTGD) is a First Person Narrative Adventure game, created using Unity. You control a mother who is in denial of her daughter's death.

​

You will go through several stages of the narrative experience which will showcase different types of emotions, such as isolation, depression and etc.

 

These are shown through dialogues, dynamic objects and the overall visual feel of the environment.

 MY ROLE 

​

GAME DESIGNER

  • Researched and planned the environment for the game to take place in, in order to support the narrative that drives the core experience of the game.

​

  • Mixed 2 drastically environments together, a laboratory office and a kid's bedroom. This mix is designed to convey the feel of the story, where a daughter is being experimented on by her father.

​

  • Designed the interaction of props that are similar to their real world counterparts in order for the player to be fully immersed in the game.

​

  • Designed elevation tools such as stairs to give the player a better sense and feel of the area he is playing in, as well as keeping him entertained.

3D ARTIST

  • Modeled all of the 3D assets in the game and textured a few of them, using Maya and Photoshop.

​

  • Made the models look as simple as possible for easy texturing and lower process speed needed to run the special effects on every model.

​

  • Designed a hard edge look for every model which works will with the low poly models and the fractual effect.
